How are you coping with COVID-19? Are you staying home? Are you an essential worker out and braving the public? How has your life changed?
We want to know what you are going through and how you are coping. We may have to be six feet apart, but our hearts can remain connected. We want your story to be heard and to be remembered. Each day, we make history. It is up to us to preserve it.
Our Life Logs® is pleased to launch a video campaign called Remember My Story: A Bite-Sized Docuseries from the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are calling for short video submissions (max. 60 seconds each) from the public telling us about their experiences with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to hear voices from all walks of life. Whether it is doctors, nurses, first responders and other medical workers fighting at the front line, or artists and others who are struggling to make ends meet, or parents who are dealing with their stay-at-home kids, or teachers and students shifting to remote learning experiences—we want to hear it all.
Through all these video stories, we hope to build a sense of community and understanding for now...and for years to come. Submit today, and let's create history together.
The first 1,000 submissions receive $25 each;
After that, the top 20 videos based on public votes in the following month will be awarded:
Top 3 (Team Favorite, 1st Prize) - $250 each
Top 4-10 (2nd Prize) - $100 each
Top 11-20 (3rd Prize) - $50 each
WELCOME TO THE
REMEMBER MY STORY VIDEO PROJECT
PRESENTED BY OUR LIFE LOGS®
GO OVER THE GUIDELINES
- Your video must not exceed 60 seconds and 300MB, with a resolution of at least 720p.
Your video may include one person or multiple.
Who you are, where you are, and what's going on is important to us. Please include a brief background of yourself at the beginning of the video (such as your name, city/country, and what you do for a living, or anything about you that you’re comfortable sharing).
SUBMISSION STANDARDS AND ELEMENTS:
- Feel free to tell us about your COVID-19 pandemic story in your own way.
Your video can be as simple as you telling your story on camera with a background that you feel is appropriate or it can be more elaborate production with multiple camera angles, edits, special effects, props, etc. The most important thing is that your story is told authentically and in a way that will help viewers to understand the story you want to tell about your experience(s) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Check out our full guidelines for a more detailed look at what we are looking for.
- You can submit one (1) video per day. Additional entries on different days are permitted, but they must be different from previous entries.
All submitted content to this campaign will become property of Our Life Logs® (Blue Loop LLC) which may use the content in whole or in part at its sole discretion.
- All accepted video entries will be displayed in our online gallery allowing for public viewing and voting.
Each voter is allowed up to 5 votes per entry per day, but is allowed to vote for an unlimited number of entries and on an unlimited number of days as long as the voting period lasts.
ENTRANT AND VOTER CONDUCT:
As we share our stories, we ask that all participants respect one another. We reserve the right to remove and restrict content and/or users who are in violation of the core values of our initiative.
SO UH...ANY QUESTIONS?
Q: I'm not located in the US. Can I still participate in your project?
A: Yes, absolutely! You can participate from anywhere in the world. However, your video must be in English.
Q: How will I receive payment if my video is among the first 1,000 submissions or if I win the monthly award?
A: We will send you payment either through Paypal or through an Amazon e-gift card.
Q: How soon will I receive payment?
A: If your submission is among the first 1,000 entries accepted by us, you will receive the $25 reward within 7 business days after your entry is approved by us. If you are one of the winners for the subsequent monthly awards, you will receive payment within 7 business days after the winners are announced.
Q: Can I promote myself and send my video to people I know, encouraging them to come to the site and view my video?
A: Of course! You can promote yourself as much as you’d like. Go crazy on social media. By all means let your friends, family, and followers know so you can obtain more votes. Remember, the most popular win the cash prizes!
Q: Is there a limit on how many people can vote for my video per day?
A: Nope! You can ask as many friends and family members to vote as you want. There is, however, a limit of how many times each voter can vote for you per day (5).
